William Quinn, MPH, Health Director for the City of Waterbury, has led public health in Connecticut’s cities for more than 30 years. He has served as the health director for the City of New Haven (1988-2009), as well as for Bridgeport, Danbury and the Chesprocott Health District. He is well versed in public health theory, methodologies and strategies, and the enforcement of Public Health Code. He has an extensive body of work in creating innovative collaborations and initiatives to address the context and underlying complexities of social and physical environments which form the social determinants of health.

A Waterbury native, Director Quinn chairs the Greater Waterbury Health Improvement Partnership (GWHIP).
