Collaborative Projects

GWHP partners with other community based organizations and clinical partners through grants and shared funding to achieve the most collective impact in the region. GWHP’s involvement in collaborative projects fall into one of the three health priority areas: Health Risk Factors, Health Influencers and Access to Care. Some of our recent collaborations include:

  • Putting on Airs Asthma Education and Outreach: Saint Mary’s Hospital, State of CT DPH Funding
  • Complete Streets: CT Regional Council of Governments, CDC, DOT and Waterbury Public Art Committee; Traffic Calming/Pedestrian Areas Experiment through Crosswalk art applications
  • Brownfields Remediation (Project Advisory Committee): Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments
  • Expanded Covid-19 Testing for At Risk Neighborhoods: StayWell Health Center, City of Waterbury
  • Catch-Up Immunizations ages 0-6: StayWell Health Center, Child Development Health Institute
  • Health Enhancement Communities: State of CT Office of Health Strategy and clinical/ community partners in Greater Waterbury
