Mr. Adamo was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Waterbury Hospital, and its affiliates, in August of 2017. In this capacity he is responsible for the hospital, its physician group, home health agency, outpatient rehabilitation company, and co-managed imaging ventures. Prior to his Waterbury responsibilities, Mr. Adamo was the Regional Chief Executive Officer of Roxborough Memorial and Suburban Community Hospitals in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He served in this capacity for five years while onboarding three hospitals in the Philadelphia market.
Peter has thirty years of health care administration experience and holds an Industrial Engineering Degree from Rutgers University and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Texas at El Paso. He started his health care career at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia. His career led him to Texas, California, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and now Connecticut. He has held positions in operations improvement, ambulatory care, business development, and regional facility management. Mr. Adamo’s primary expertise is in strategic planning and physician relations.
Peter lives in Woodbury, Connecticut with his wife and ten year old son, where he enjoys physical fitness, sports, visual arts, and exploring interesting culinary experiences.
